Introducing our Sinner Saint Gothic Die Cut Sun Strip - a sleek, matte black vinyl strip that measures 150cm in width and 25cm in depth. This is a die-cut design, so the vinyl is cut out from the material, which is an air-release matte black vinyl sun strip.
We recommend experience in fitting sun strips for applying die cut banners!
For optimal results, we recommend applying this product in warmer weather using the wet application method. Here's how to do it like a pro:

These sun strips come on Air-release vinyl, so we recommend using a dry installation method. We always suggest using isopropyl alcohol to prep the surface. DO NOT FIT if the atmospheric temperature is below 10°C/59°F or is above 25°C/77°F.Once fitted allow to cure for at least 2 hours.
Step 1: Prep the windscreen
Firstly, ensure the windscreen is thoroughly cleaned of any dirt, dust, grease, or residue. Remove all waxes, gloss protectors, or enhancers that could hinder adhesion. We recommend using a clean microfiber cloth and isopropyl rubbing alcohol for glass preparation. Avoid using glass cleaners, as they often contain ammonia and leave a slick coating that can cause decal peeling and bubble formation. Ensure the surface is completely dry before moving on, even if it requires using a hairdryer/heat gun or allowing it to dry in the sun for a few minutes.
Step 2: Measure and mask
Place the sunstrip against the glass, securing it in position with masking tape. For precise placement, rely on a tape measure for accuracy, and double-check your measurements. Utilize symmetrical points on the windscreen as reference markers to guarantee the sunstrip is level and centred. Once satisfied with the positioning, establish a vertical "hinge" point along the centre of the sunstrip using masking tape.
Step 3: Start Applying one side at a time
Remove the backing paper from one side up to the center hinge point. Use scissors to cut off the paper instead of tearing it to prevent paper particles from getting trapped under the vinyl, causing irremovable air pockets. Once near the hinge point, you're prepared to apply one side.
Step 4: Time to Squeegee
Using a felt squeegee, press the banner onto the glass starting from the center hinge point and working outward, applying moderate pressure. If air bubbles or creases appear, gently lift the vinyl and reapply. Squeegee the vinyl to the top and edge of the screen without trimming any excess yet. Air release vinyl is forgiving, allowing easy removal of creases and air bubbles.
This process can be done alone with patience, but having a friend assist is recommended. One person holds the vinyl taut while the other uses the squeegee to apply it to the windscreen. Patience is crucial for optimal results.
Step 5: Repeat for the other side
Repeat the preceding step for the opposite side. Adjust the taped hinge point, remove the remaining backing paper, and apply the vinyl, working from the centre outwards.
Step 6: Time to Trim
Before moving forward with this step, make sure you've squeegeed the vinyl thoroughly up to the glass edge. Use a sharp craft knife to trim the excess vinyl carefully, avoiding cutting yourself or any rubber seals on the windscreen edge.
If there's application tape on the graphic, peel it off at a right angle or parallel to the surface.
Now, take a step back and admire your new SinnerSaint Sunstrip!
